Roger over and out in front

Roger Nixon scored 27 points over the eleven holes in play on the Dunluce Course to win the day by two points.

The 25 handicapper failed to score at a few holes but did well enough at the rest to win. His birdie four at the long tenth gave him the boost he needed to get in front of two handicap Gerald McAleese who scored 25.

Gerald birdied the second with a four then added three in a row at eight nine and ten for his total of 25 points for the Silver Section. Bronze medal winner was RI Clarke on 23 points. No Birdies but very steady scoring did the trick.

Sid Henry took best gross for his tally of 45, one over par, back to back birdy fours at nine and ten almost balancing up his three bogies.
