Roisin braves elementsto take theChristmas prize

The ladies at Lurgan had made the most of the mild winter but unfortunately the wet weather took it’s toll on their Christmas competition with only 18 brave souls taking on the elements to contest for two beautiful prizes

The winner, just beating Roisin Anderson on the count back, was Dee Farrell with 17 points.

Roslyn Millar’s team won a very closely fought team competition just holding off Julie Jordan’s team by the smallest of margins. Rumour has it that Julie had all sorts of plans in the offing for a team celebration at the dinner but unfortunately for her team they didn’t come to fruition.

The ladies all enjoyed a beautiful meal courtesy of Colleen and Michael and for some Christmas cheer they were well looked after by Stephen and his staff.

Lady Captain Fiona Cummins thanked everyone involved for their hard work in looking after the winter competitions and for supporting them by playing so regularly.

Ladies are reminded that Peter Hanna is holding a nine hole sweep for ladies each week so why not keep the craic going and take the opportunity to play in the sweep.
