The favourable weather and the excellent course conditions promised low scoring and those competing were not disappointed as several early scores were returned well in excess of 40 points.

The overall winner was Ross Dutton, with Andrew Marks in second place while Stefan Greenberg returned the best gross.

In the junior section Scott Thompson claimed victory by one point over playing partner Sheldon Savage, and these two in turn combined with Josh Chambers and Ben Thompson to lift the team prize.

In the ladies section Kathryn Malcolmson was the overall winner, while the ladies team prize went to the four ball of Denise Nelson, Suzanne Murfitt, Valerie and Kathryn Malcolmson.

Speaking at the prize giving BAA vice chairman Alan Stevenson thanked all those who had taken part and who had contributed to a hugely enjoyable day.

He also paid tribute to the generosity of the many local businesses who had provided sponsorship and prizes stressing that without their help the event would not have been possible.
