Proceedings will get under way at 7.30pm sharp and the event is open to both ladies and gents from any club and admission is free.

Prehen members are reminded that a four man team event will take place on Saturday February 21, under the usual rules with the best two scores counting at each hole.

He had a very impressive 37 points and was a model of consistency with pars at all the short holes.

He was followed home in close order by the ever reliable Billy Acheson (18) who despite a triple bogey seven at ‘Foyle’ managed an excellent 36 points and second place just ahead of Alan Montgomery (20) courtesy of a favourable tie break.

Monty will have attracted the interest of the handicapper in that his 36 points were achieved even though he had two sevens and a blank at the three par fives.

Seamus Given (15) played great golf on Saturday in the Prehen club’s weekly stableford to record first place having survived a three-way tie break on 35 points.

Two birdies over the 15 holes were vital in his winning performance and relegated newcomer, Stephen McCaul (10), into second place. Stephen will be very pleased with his placing, his first prize since joining the club a short time ago.

Brendan Duffy (10) had already scored his 35 points before playing the last hole but an unfortunate double bogey six cost him dearly and he had to settle for third place.
