The competition on Saturday at Silverwood was the Silverwood rumble with the format being over the first six holes one best stableford score counting and then over the second six holes the best two stableford scores counting and finally over the final six holes the best three stableford scores counting.

The winners on the day with 89 points were Joseph Scullion, Phillip McConville, Martin Craig and Paul Gilmore this team had 32 points on the front nine and 57 points on the back nine.

In second place with 88 points were Gavin McCabrey, Conor Doran, Martin Greene and Peter McAtsney, this team had 31 points on the front nine and 57 on the back nine.

On the senior front Silverwood members found the going tough at Dungannon. Best for the local club were the John Duffin, David Gilmore pairing with 38 points and Frank Gallagher, Brian Brady with 37 points. The team are looking for big improvements at Lisburn and their home hosting on 30th July.

The midweek sweep results are: 1st Seamus Patton 44 points; 2nd John Lawther 44 points; 3rd Martin McCann 42 points.

A mention for Chris Watt who shot an excellent gross 68 four under in this sweep but still not good enough to pick up a prize.

On the team front the Senior Cowdy team will play Armagh on Friday the 19th of July at home at 5.30pm with the return leg on Wednesday the 24th July.
