Sands wins Sunday Society
THE seventh outing of the Foyle Sunday Society attracted a good entry with the competitors being rewarded with a fine December day and Society Captain, Sean Sands, made full use of the favorable conditions to post an fine winning score of 42 points.
The runners-up place was decided on a break of tie with 41 points with Gary Jackson defeating Martin McEleney with a better score over the final six holes.
The Sunday Society continues this weekend.
The recent turkey competition winners - Category 12 to 17, John McMonagle (16) 22 points; juvenile, Ryan Gillen (20) 24 points; ladies, Agnes McLaughlin (15) 22 points.
