Seamus lands his first competition win

It was another glorious day at Silverwood Golf Club on Saturday with only a few showers for the afternoon golfers to content with, and it was one of these players who won the day.

There were an unprecedented amount of high scores on the day with the first three players separated on count back, the winner with 45 points was Seamus Doran winning his first ever competition.

Seamus made a slow start to his round with only two pars at the 4th and 8th holes, four bogeys and three double bogeys, for 20 points on his front nine. His back nine was much better with six pars at the 10th 11th 14th 15th 17th and 18th holes, one bogey and one double bogey, plus one no-score at the 13th hole where he was unlucky to lose his ball. But he had done just enough to win with a great back nine of 25 points.
