Sensational play from Joe to win in the sweep at Banbridge Golf Club

Thursday 13th August

Joe Glass played the 14 holes of this sweep in only 4 over par gross. That was sensational play and he won by 4 clear points.

1st- Joe Glass (15) 36 points.

2nd- Damian Weir (4) 32 points.

Sunday 16th August

This was a “Red Letter” day for Kenny Baines. Not only did he win the sweep but he also had the only 2 on the day and he picked quite a sizeable 2’s pot. He was laughing all the way to the bank.

1st- Kenny Baines (16) Nett 29.

2nd- Seamus Rooney (9) Nett 32.5.

3rd- Cathal McAnarney (21) Nett 32.5.

Monday 17th August

There was a photo finish to this sweep with four players finishing with 29 points. Albert Morrison was the lucky one to come first and Andrew Hanlon was unlucky to miss out altogether.

2nd- Fergie Cosgrove (14) 29 points. 3rd- Michael Robinson (14) 29 points.

Wednesday 19th August

Jason Greenaway, the club professional, generously sponsored this Juvenile Sweep.

Rory McMullan achieved his season’s ambition by getting his handicap down to six. This very promising young player went round in level par 69.

White Blocks: 1st- Rory McMullan (8) 44 points. 2nd- Jack McKerr (11) 39 points.

Yellow Blocks: 1st- Matthew Hutchinson (25) 40 points. 2nd- Ben Stevenson (23) 35 points.

Thursday 20th August

Johnny McKinstry is certainly a player to watch. He hits the ball the proverbial mile and once he develops better course management skills, his handicap will start to tumble down. He won this sweep by 5 clear shots.
