Skilling takes top spot in Ed Hagan Trophy at Carrickfergus Golf Club

Colin Skilling’s 42 points bagged him the Ed Hagan Trophy at Carrickfegus Golf Club on Saturday (July 4).

Low handicap winners were Chris Wadsworth (40 points), Ken Knocker (37 points), J. Mitchell (37 points) and Tom Hagan (36 points).

High handicap winners were Peter Dinsdale (40 points) and Stanley Spray, Lee Burnside and S. Marshall who each carded 39 points.

Graeme Arthur won the Gross prize with 34 points and R. Kelly scooped the Super Senior prize with 37 points.

In the Fred Daly Plate, Carrickfergus defeated Ballymena 7-0 and, even with the away leg yet to play, look likely to progress to meet Galgorm at the next stage.

Meanwhile, bookings are now available for the club’s Open Week which runs from Saturday, July 25 to Saturday, August 1.
