Stirling performances secure silverware at Galgorm Castle


James Campbell and his playing partner Aidan Donnelly were two points behind followed by the Ian Rainey/David Cameron and Brian Heggarty/Ciaran Corbett pairings a further point behind with Brian McFall/Steve Henry and David Keys/Gary Jackson another point away.
The Stirlings were still two points ahead through 13 with Rainey and Cameron their nearest challengers. Campbell and Donnelly were another point behind along with McFall and Henry. These two pairings were a point ahead of Keys and Jackson and Heggarty and Corbett.

With two to play the Stirling pairing were still holding fast two points ahead of Rainey and Cameron who were joined by Campbell and Donnelly.
The Stirlings finished bogey, par to win by two points. Rainey/Cameron (two bogeys) and Campbell/Donnelly (par, double bogey) finished together but with a better back nine Rainey and Cameron finished in second place with Campbell/Donnelly third.
The remaining three pairings – Keys/Jackson (double bogey, par), McFall/S Henry (two double bogeys) and Heggarty/Corbett (par,’ding’) – finished together with fourth place going to Keys and Jackson with a better back six.
