SUNDAY AUGUST 19 - Hugo Downey became only the second player this year to win the Sunday Sweep three times. The other player was Robert Haire.

It was a rewarding day for Damian Weir. He was runner-up in the competition and he had two twos. The only other player to get a two was John Doran.

1st, Hugo Downey (9) Nett 32; 2nd, Damian Weir (5) Nett 32.5; 3rd, Shane Crossan (15) Nett 32.5.

MONDAY AUGUST 20 = Young Callum McAleenan played the 14 holes in the Monday Sweep in two under par gross and he won it by six shots. What a player!

1st-,Callum McAleenan (13) 40 points; 2nd, Mark Watt (15) 34.

THURSDAY AUGUST 23 - Albert Morrison is enjoying a nice little run of good form. In recent weeks, Albert has won the Monday Sweep twice and been runner-up in the Sam McMillan Scratch Cup. He has capped it all by winning this Open stableford.

Colin McKinney had the only two on the day and scooped the whole pot.
