Darragh McCann had a great round of golf going round in level par 72, he went around the front nine in 35 and a back nine of 37. He had birdies at the 2nd and 9th holes, five pars at the 1st, 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th holes, with two bogeys. His back nine of 37 included another two birdies at the 14th and 18th holes, five pars at 10th 11th 12th, 13th and 17th holes, and two bogeys for a nett 64.

It was reward for all the practice Darragh has been doing over the last couple of months and it surely won’t be long before he will be back in the winner’s circle again.

Third place went to Stephen Morgan with a nett 66, Stephen with scores on 38 on both the front and back nines.

The gross prize was a very close affair with the two best players at the club going head to head, but it was Fintan Mc Areavey with an excellent gross 68 just pipping Chris Watt who had a gross 69, but this was good enough for Chris to get cut and get down to plus 1 for the first time.

The senior prize went to Neil Walker with a nett 67.
