Team 8 not hampered byfavourites tag at Spring League

With close to 100 members taking part in the teams of four event with six best cards to count from ten in the qualifying round which runs until March 23rd when the top eight teams will enter the match play.

After card one the Winter League winners and pre-event favorites Team 8 John Jennings, Ciaran O’Doherty, Dermott Harkin and Mark Doherty having returned a fine score of 94 points lead the way by three points.

The Foyle Sunday Society Golfer of the Year is again turning into a very close contest.

After thirteen outing with the ten best cards to count the top three players are separated by three points with Martin Loughrey leading the way on 390 points and holds a slender one point lead over the chasing pack. The Gross section has Stephen Martin on 359 points in first place and Cormac McGeady.
