Marion’s away day to Greencastle

Faughan Valley’s lady captain Marion Sayers’ away day at Greencastle recently was played in glorious sunshine.

Coming out on top was Evelyn Smith and Kathleen Cooke was nearest to pin, while the ladies stableford competition on May 28 was won by Kathleen Cooke (28) after she scored 39 points.

Meanwhile the North West League starts this week with the Roe Park team playing Greencastle in the first leg of their match.

Ballyliffin and Faughan Valley make up the rest of the group and also play each other in the first leg.

Roe Park’s Ulster Fourball team travelled to Spa GC in the first leg of their match and were beaten 5-0 with the return leg at Roe Park in two weeks.

Roe Park’s resident professional Michael McCrudden will also be hosting a fitting day with Cobra.
