This week’s sweep results

SUNDAY AUGUST 26 - Jonathan Kerr has been in top form in recent days. Fresh from winning the Intermediate Scratch Cup, Jonathan proceeded to win the Sunday Sweep.

He played the nine holes course in only one over par gross.

1st, Jonathan Kerr (15) Nett 29.5.

2nd, Kenny Baines (17) Nett 31.5.

MONDAY AUGUST 27 - This was the August Bank Holiday Medal. The weather was dreadful and only a small number of hardy souls ventured out.

William Malcolmson still managed to go round in level par and he won the competition by four shots.

1st, William Malcolmson (6) Nett 64.

2nd, Michael Young (7) Nett 68.

THURSDAY AUGUST 30 - Mark McCoy is one of the most talented young golfers in the Banbridge club. It is a little surprising that it has taken Mark up to this point to register his first competition victory of the season.

1st, Mark McCoy (8) 44 points.

2nd, Richard Lyttle , Edenmore, (5) 40 points.

3rd, Neil Comiskey (12) 38 points.

Gross: Michael Young (7) 74.
