This week’s sweep results

WEDNESDAY JULY 4 - There will be an 18 holes sweep competition for the juvenile members every Wednesday during the summer holidays.

All the details are on the juvenile notice board.

Patrick Magennis and Chrissy Burns got the ball rolling with impressive wins.

WHITE BLOCKS: 1st, Patrick Magennis 41 points; 2nd, Ciaran Davis 41.

YELLOW BLOCKS: 1st, Chrissy Burns 37; 2nd, Jack Rice 36.

SUNDAY JULY 8 - Eamon McAnarney has taken a liking to the Sunday Sweep.

This was the second week in succession that he has won. The rollover for the 2’s continues to grow. It’s almost certain to be won next time out, as a lot of extra members will play to try and win the jackpot.

1st, Eamon McAnarney (14) Nett 32; 2nd, Pat Toal (23) Nett 34.5.

MONDAY JULY 9 - Everything comes to those who wait. Kevin McKay has come close to winning the sweep in recent weeks.

He has had two third place finishes and a second. This time, Kevin hit top form and he took first place. Well done, Kevin!

THURSDAY JULY 12 - David Thompson recovered from an indifferent start, bogeys at the first and third holes, to win the Open Stableford on July 12.

John Lennon was coasting to victory until he came to the 17th. A double bogey six just spoiled an almost perfect card.
