Three wins for Dunmurry teams as they start the season in good form

Last Thursday, the JB Carr side progressed to the semi-final of the County Antrim region with an impressive 5-0 victory over Ballymena.

Maurice Ferguson and Donal McReynolds got Dunmurry off to a flying start with victory on the 12th.

Maurice Grey and Jimmy McGrath won on the first tie hole while Roy Donnan and George Summers won on the 16th. Liam McCartney and V Tandon won on the 17th and John Neill and Derek Gorman were two up when called in.

Dunmurry now play Balmoral or Cairndhu.

Dunmurry’s Ulster Cup side hosted Portsalon over the weekend and have a slender 4.5-2.5 advantage for the second leg this weekend thanks to victories by Roy Donnan, Trevor Lamont and Ken Parkinson. John Dickinson, David Glasgow and John McManus earned halves.

FRED DALY TROPHY

The Dunmurry Fred Daly team of Liam Jennings, Ward Farrell, Chris Black, Ryan Trimble, Thomas Gracey, Brian Houston and Duncan Fleming all recorded wins to complete a 7-0 victory over Galgorm and go through.
