These three ladies figured in the prizes the previous week in the team open and Clare captained them well this time to continue their good team play in the scramble and finish outright winners.

Second prize in the scramble went to Sian Mulholland, Orla O’Dowd and Lynne Hanna with a nett 33.2. All these ladies have had a fine season and combine well in the team competitions.

Congratulations to Lurgan Golf Club members Niamh McSherry, Eadaoin Ward and Annabel Wilson who this week won the Minor Team Award for St Mary’s High School at the Craigavon Sports Advisory Council Junior Awards ceremony.

The girls were presented with their award by Michael O’Neill, manager of Northern Ireland football team

Also congratulations to Clare McGourty who has done great work getting girls golf up and running in St Mary’s.
