Triple tie break win for Quigley

Ken Quigley (15) was the best of three players on 30 points after a favourable tie break that went his way and took the top prize, a very topical Christmas Hamper expertly compiled by the distaff side of the McCourt Family.

Fred Young (6) took home another exquisitely prepared hamper for his second place and Robin McClay (11) was quite content with his third place finish.

A novel feature of this year’s competition was the shotgun start with over fifty members taking part.

Prehen’s resident caterer Linda then served up a superb meal following which prizes were presented in the Harry Bryson and Jim Bresland Trophy competitions that were played earlier in the season.

Society Skipper Noel O’Connell was loud in his praise of all who contribute to the running of the Society paying particular mention of the secretary Eamonn McCourt, whose vibrant personality is so important in making the Society so successful in the life of the club.
