Vintners outings

THE Derry Vintners golf society kicks off this year with its first outing to the old course in Ballyliffin on Wednesday, April 14.Tee off time is from 12noon to 1pm and the outing is being kindly sponsored by Total Golf.

The vintners outings continue on Wednesday, April 28 at Glashedy with the Drink Inc sponsoring the outing: on Wednesday, May 5 the vintners travel to Moyola for their next outing, which is sponsored by Diageo; Portsalon will be the course where the society's President's Day takes place, on Wednesday, June 9 and that outing will be sponsored by North West Cash and Carry.

On Wednesday, July 7, Nugents will sponsor the outing which will take place at Strabane, while Greencastle will host Wednesday, July 21's outing and Noraut are sponsor.

Foyle Golf Club will be the venue on Wednesday, September 15 for the usually popular Captain's Day. Tee-off time for each outing is from 12noon to 1pm.

Officers elected for this year are President Bernard O'Kane; Captain Suki Nagra; Secretary Niall McDermott; Treasurer Fergal McLaughlin; Handicaps Tony Toland.
