Winning start for Toye

REDCASTLE Golf Club held their first competition of the new season 'The Ulster Sports Trust' and it was won by Damien Toye who set the standard carding an impressive 41 points.

Second place went to Seamus McGeehan after he scored 40 points and Mark Wilson 39 points was third. The front nine was claimed by Martin Duffy after he scored 21 points, while Tommy McCauley with 21 points won the back nine; gross prize went to the elder statesman Billy Harkin.

While the club's members would like to congratulate the Ulster Four Ball team who won by 4 holes to 1. This weeks competition is a club confined (stableford).

Meanwhile the Ladies O2 and AIB Qualifier played on Monday, saw Audrey McGurk (30) with 38 points claim first place, while in second spot was Jennie Flanagan (15) after she finished with 36 points and Una Morrison (19) with 35 points came home in third spot.

Next week's competition is the first committee stroke competition draw times is 10am, 5pm and 5.45pm.
