Winter League continues at Rockmount

SATURDAY was a pleasant day for week seven of the 2012/2013 Andrew Annett Winter League competition at Rockmount.

John Malanaphy (25) top scored with 31 points beating Lewis Patmore (7) with 30 points into second place. Lewis’s gross score including three birdies; a one under par 47 shot was also the lowest gross on the day. In third place with 28 points was Gents Captain Glenn Willis (13) beating John McConnell (7) into fourth on count back, fifth and sixth both scored 27 points Competition Secretary Frank Wallace (5) was fifth and Ian Harvey (25) was sixth. The gross prize went to Jon D’arcy (5); Jon had a level par round of 48 shots, his round included two birdies, eight pars and two bogeys. All will receive Paul Banford & Sons Butchers, Turkey Vouchers.

In the four leagues the first and second placed teams are; league A, ‘Anything but Hockey’ 181 and ‘Handcuffed to an Idiot’ 176. League B, ‘This is Madness’ have 183 and ‘Oggie and the Sprinkler Heads’ have 179. League C, team ‘Come Back Kids’ have 181 and team ‘Dickies D’s’ have 175. League D, team ‘Frankly Awful’ have 182 and team ‘Joseph’s Dream Team’ 177. The scores take into account the four dropped scores. In the singles competition’s (0-13) section is led by Russell McDonald with 62 points and Simon Gray is second with 60 points; (13.1-18.5) section is led by Frank Wallace with 63 points with Andrew Holywood on 61 points second; (18.6-28) section is jointly led by Mike Finneran and Jim Fletcher both of whom have 66 points.
