Winter League final at Foyle

The Annual Christmas Hamper competition was played at Foyle on Sunday with the fine turnout being greeted with a fairly decent day after all the inclement weather witnessed lately and Tommy Bradley (13) posted a very impessive 42 points for a two point winning margin over the field.

Runner up was Ciaran O’Doherty (11) having to survive a break of tie with Paul Cassidy (18) both players returning 40 points. The category 0-11 winner after a break of tie finish was Jay Lucas (11) after he scored 39 points, Sean Sands (16) with 40 points won the category 12-17 and the category 18+ was claimed by Paul Cassidy (18) after he finished with 40 points.

The back nine was also won after a BOT finish by Ciaran Gillen (19) after he scored 22 points and David Knox (19) with 44 points won the juvenile section.

The Turkey Competitions continues daily, while on Saturday the Desmond Motors Winter League Final takes centre stage and players are reminded to see Notice Board for Tee Times and all teams are asked to book in at least 20 minutes before their tee time).

Also on Saturday is the 0 to 7 handicap winter programme competition, which starts at 11am and see the Notice Board for player list and report at 10.45am for draw.

On Sunday the Foyle Sunday Society Christmas Hamper is up for grabs and a time Sheet is in operation, check notice board for tee time.
