Winter lessons pay for McGlinchey

ON Saturday and Sunday at Faughan Valley saw their Open Stableford competition go to David McKeever and John O'Neill both Faughan Valley members returned a respectable 39 points on a cold breezy spring weekend.

McKeever (23) with the better back nine took first place, while O'Neill (17) who also scored 39 points was second, third was George Watson (24) after he scored 38 points.

The first week of the spring league has see Gregory McGlinchey (12) set the pace with a score of 43 points playing of 12, his winter lessons have paid off.

Ryan Godfrey (13) took second spot after a break of tie finish when he had a better back nine and finished with 36 points, on the same points was 18 handicapper Peter Hasson who secured third place.

Members note that a sheet is up for the Singles match play.
