* In the Sunday Sweep Mickey Connor, playing off 25, was once again in the winner’s enclosure taking 1st prize with 37pts.

After an indifferent start which left him 3 over his card at the turn, Mickey then managed to keep both hands on the reins to whip himself into shape to come home with 22pts. Obviously the new grips he had fitted by local pro Ian Blair have proved to be a shrewd investment.

Steven Bell playing off 4 was 2nd with 36pts. Steven was a model of consistence throughout his round, certainly a trademark of his golfing proficiency. Gerald ’Chiefy’ Smyth (11) was 3rd with 33pts. Robert McNeill once again collected the gross with a 79.
