Good finishes for King’s Park

THE boys’ and girls’ cross country teams from King’s Park Primary School took part in the Northern Ireland finals recently.

After qualifying from their area heats they trained twice a week over various distances.

In the girls’ race Chelsea Wilson achieved a top 20 finish.

Overall the girls’ team finished in ninth place.

The boys were up against a strong field and achieved an excellent eighth place.

Jordan Dawson came seventh overall.

The boys’ team was: Jordan Dawson, Jamie Hamilton, Ewen Mulligan, Timothy Millen, Lewis Irwin, Dylan Watters, Cameron Graham, Alan Shelsher, Ryan Holmes, Adam Leathem.

The girls’ team was: Chelsea Wilson, Tianna Hamilton, Lauren Hibble, Alexandra Carson, Beth Cousins, Rachel Flavell, Juste Savickyte, Emma Wilson, Victoria Wilson, Abigail Davis.

Chelsea Wilson and Jordan Dawson have been selected on the Northern Ireland Athletics Development Squad.
