Good response from U12s but it's not enough

TOWN U12s went down narrowly to Lower Maze in this top four clash.

Lower Maze shaded the possession in the first half but fluffed two good scoring opportunities.

After the interval, Banbridge began to get into their stride but found themselves a goal behind from a corner within five minutes. Things soon got worse for Town when a through ball wasn’t dealt and keeper Wilson was beaten for the second time.

Banbridge responded magnificently twice, first through Aaron Thompson and then, having conceded a soft third, through Brian Johnston.

Town flooded forward in search of an equaliser, Scott Armstrong going closest when a goal bound effort front the edge of the box was scrambled to safety rather fortuitously by the Lower Maze keeper.
