Good run continues

CRAIGAVON Squash Club travelled to the impressive Dundonald base in Belfast to face David Lloyd C and came away with their unbeaten record intact winning by 3 games to 1 and 10 points to 7 overall.

This was their hardest game of the season to date as they travelled without the injured Rory Reynolds while Raymond Broderick again deputised.

First match saw Darren McCabe, promoted to number 3, facing a young Ulster hopeful and this game lasted an hour with very long rallies before McCabe emerged as the 3-1 winner.

Next up was Broderick and although he started brightly he fell away to be beaten by the same 3-1 scoreline.

Nick Rusk was next up and raced to a 2-0 lead before his opponent fought back to make it 2-2. However Rusk won a hard deciding game to post a 3-2 win.

Last on court was Peter Barclay and he lost the first game before reeling off the next three for another 3-1 victory.

Craigavon are at home in their next game to Antrim.
