Gransha to host National Cross Country

THE spacious Gransha Park grounds will play host for the second time in just over two years to another big national event on Sunday, February 3rd.

The City of Derry Spartans successfully applied for the National Juvenile B, Intermediate and Masters cross country championships and on Sunday two weeks 1000 plus runners are expected to grace the Gransha circuit.

Runners from all over Ireland will travel for this one, there are twelve separate races on the extensive programme which starts at 11.30am and concludes with the 3pm start of the Mens Intermediate championship over 8K.

A day not to be missed and one which has been supported by the Culture Company and included among the City of Culture 2013 sports programme.

More details on this next week but note the date now and turn up on the day to support runners from the local clubs Foyle Valley, Olympian and of course the Spartans as they take on the opposition from far and near next month.
