Greenbank spring a shock against Latharna

St John’s have moved up to fourth after their ninth win of the season, this time against Ballyclare. A. Damien Todd, Andy Reid, G Hunter all recorded wins. Tommy Bamber and Neil McKelvey with breaks of 67 and 23 provided the response for the golfers.

Carrick ‘A’ sit in fifth place after a 3-2 defeat to neighbours Greenbank ‘B’.

Ricky Bradley and Ken Knocker got the two last frames as I Adrian, A Adrian and Harry Nelson took the lead with the first three frames.

Ballylumford have now recorded their 11th win of the season after they saw off Larne Legion. M McWilliams lost the first frame to Lee Topping before D Irwin, Jim Magill, Philip Haveron and Paul Wylie pocketed wins.

Ballyclare Old Boys enjoyed a fine 5-0 victory over neighbours Ballyclare Golf Club ‘B’. Declan McClean (33), Tommy Hart, Noel Vennard (31), Joe Lennon and Stevie Crymble were all on target.

The Point remain mid-table after their 10th win of the season, defeating Carrick ‘B’ 3-2. Graham Ferguson, Gary McNeill and S Girvan gave The Point the edge, while Colin Spence and W Hill Junior won for the golfers.

Ballyclare Golf Club ‘A’ won the first competition of the season with a 3-1 success over their ‘B’ team in The Knock Out Cup.
