“The next six weeks will be crucial. We have to prepare for our Ulster campaign, the game against either Donegal or Tyrone will be huge, but the squad are heading in the right direction. We have players returning from injury and now that the short term target has been reached we are ready for the next step up.”

The Armagh captain thanked the fans, the County board and team sponsors following the win over Fermanagh but stressed a lot of work remained to be done.

“We have to move forward from this. The idea was to win promotion and build up for the Provincial series, but huge games lie ahead.”
