Guests enjoy President's dinner at Ballyclare RFC

BALLYCLARE RFC President, Pat McCudden, hosted the annual dinner held in the club's headquarters at The Cloughan on Friday evening (January 8).

Presidents and representatives from numerous rugby clubs throughout the province had an enjoyable evening attended by around seventy guests.

Trevor McCann was Ballyclare Comrades' representative, and Hilton Golf Club and Ballyclare Golf Club also were represented.

In one of the main speeches Pat entertained his guests with details of his recent trip to Australia and New Zealand. Several other speakers contributed to the success of the evening.

Rugby was a complete whiteout across Northern Ireland on Saturday, but there is hope that some action may take place this weekend.

Colly Morrow's senior side will be off to Londonderry for the rearranged Towns’ Cup first round tie against the favoured City of Derry senior outfit, which had been postponed from last weekend.

The 2nd XV have a home game against Lisburn in the first round of the Crawford Cup, while the 4th XV have a tasty local derby against Carrick IV in the second round of the McCambley Cup at The Cloughan.
