Half a dozen goals for U12s

Banbridge Rangers U12s 6

Seagoe United U12s 0

RANGERS U12s entertained Seagoe Youth at Havelock Park for what turned out to be a very entertaining game of football.

Rangers started the best with the first 20 minutes of football all being played in the Seagoe half. Jamie Adair and Bradley Harper continued to harass the Seagoe defence and Adair was rewarded for his persistence on 23 minutes when an excellent through ball from Daniel Moore resulted in a cracking right footed shot.

Adair continued to be a productive in attack and hit the back of the net on the four minutes later when a long ball from Russell Hilland via Alex Cochrane found the striker one on one with the keeper with Adair taking the ball around the keeper and find the bottom left hand corner.

The back four of Russell Hilliand, Matthew Burns, Mark McCullough and Dean McIlvenna had very little to worry about with the keeper Craig Robson only having to clear his line once during the first half.

Just before half time Daniel Moore stepped up to make it 3-0 following a couple of cracking passes with Joel Reid, then on 30 minutes it was Rangers goal number four with Johnny forcing the ball into the net.

The second half started exactly the same with Halloway, Wheeler, Flack and McAllister all joining the ranks. Jamie Flack was rewarded on the 42nd minute when a great ball from Matthew Halloway resulting in Flack coolly slipping the ball past the Seagoe keeper.

Burns and McCullough were keen to get into the action with Burns hitting the cross bar during the first half, however the young defender made no mistake on 50 minutes with a crack right footed shoot from outside the eighteen yard box finding the top right hand corner.

Banbridge Rangers continued to press with Simon McAllister hitting the woodwork on two occasions before the final whistle.

Man of the match was Jamie Adair for his great work rate and persistence up front resulting in two fantastic goals.

This Saturday's game is away to St Mary's of Portadown with kick off at 10.30am.
