Another dry evening blessed the most recent Meet, the penultimate event of the 2015 series.

Around 165 athletes took part in a variety of track and field contests including 100m sprint, the 1500m, long-jump, high-jump, javelin and hammer throw.

There were some impressive sprint performances during the evening including Banbridge Athletic Club member Hannah Vogan (132), who timed 12.93s in the Girls U17 100m.

Organised by Lagan Valley Athletics Club and supported by firmus energy, the final Super Six event will take place on Thursday 20 August, beginning from 6.30pm at the Mary Peters Track in Belfast.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the popular series, an extra date is being trialled, bringing the total to six.

The firmus energy Super Six is open to people of all abilities, aged 8 and over including those who want to try the sport for the first time to serious competitors.

Over the years these meetings have been the launching pad for many international athletes including medallists at major Games. No doubt this year we will see at least one new name who will become a star in the future.
