Harriers runner Purse completes 50th parkrun

County Antrim Harriers’ John Purse completed his 50th parkrun at the Waterworks on Saturday. He was supported by a number of runners from the club.

Meanwhile, the junior Harriers took centre stage at the Malcolm Cup cross-country in Ballyclare at the weekend.

At the first of the ‘Born 2 Run’ 10K Run Forest Run series at Minnowburn, Cathy Hopkins ran 55:36, while Bill Hopkins recorded a time of 1:03.07. Kim Gleave completed the race in 1:05.04, Talitha Collins crossed the line in 1:08.12, and Shelley Boyle ran 1:09.08.

Elsewhere, Louise Smart and Glenn Smart, with Dexter, Cathy Hopkins with Fred, Eileen Stewart with Jack and Katherine McAllister with Tilly competed at the ‘Waggy Races’ 5k at Murlough Bay.
