Hasson new captain at Kilrea

The AGM. of Manor Golf Club Kilrea, was held recently and the following members were elected as officers for the ensuing year.

Ass/Secretary - Eddie O'Kane

Club Treasurer - Harry Boyle

P. R. O.s - Marshall Eakin & Harry Boyle

Committee Members - Aiden Mc Camphill, Joe Turner, Dessie Gray, Noel McCann, and Pat Cleary

The out going Captain, Harry Boyle, thanked all those who supported him in his year of office, especially the secretary Charlie Hasson,and the other Committee members.

He said he had enjoyed his year and was very pleased with the turnout of members and guests on Captain's Day, and the Captain's Dinner and Prizegiving the following week.

He also paid tribute to his family for all their vital support not only at the foregoing events but throughout the year.

He then handed over the chair to the incoming captain, Seamus Hasson, and presented him with his captain's blazer, congratulated him, and wished him a very successful and enjoyable year.

Seamus suitably replied, thanking the Club for the honour bestowed on him and trusted that he would be able to live up to the high standards set not only by the outgoing captain, Harry, but also the previous captains.

The Secretary, Charlie Hasson then presented his usual very comprehensive report for the past year which was unanimously adopted, and was duly thanked for all the vital work which he undertakes year in, year out, for the benefit of the Club and members..

The treasurer, Barney Devine presented his report and it showed that the Club's balance sheet was in a healthy state, Barney was congratulated for this very well presented report, and it was adopted unanimously.

The Spring League competition is due to tee off on the weekend of the 6th/7th February, and playing members are reminded to get their name down on the notice board list asap, if they’ve not already done so.
