Heads dropped after penalty was scored

Banbridge Town U13s 2

Loughside 4

THIS was yet another match that Banbridge could easily have won.

They started off very confidently putting the Loughside defence under pressure and were rewarded after only five minutes when Josh Cargin broke through to slot the ball neatly past the advancing keeper.

The lead was short lived however as the Banbridge defence were caught square a few minutes later and Loughside levelled the score.

David Gray almost put Banbridge ahead again when he hit a terrific shot with his right foot but the keeper made an excellent save.

Stephen McCavitt almost scored from a direct free kick but his shot bounced off the top of the crossbar.

In the second half things were very even but then an accidental hand ball by Stephen McCavitt was punished with a penalty to Loughside which they duly converted.
