Heavy showers greets Tullamore race

THE opening race from Tullamore last weekend was a bit of an experience, liberation was delayed until 1.45pm due to the heavy showers.

In the south west wind the birds were still well split up and a lot reported missing as well.

A start has been made after the first training race from Mullingar had been cancelled a week earlier. Fanciers have complained about the big jump in miles for a first race and this is something they need to address for the future.

Coleraine Premier dominated the Coleraine Triangle. T & J McDonald scored a good 1st, 2nd & 3rd followed by A & R McAuley and J L Madden both lofts having a top card. T Stewart had 1st & 2nd in Windsor Soc (1518) and T McCrudden had 1st County Derry (1510).
