High fives for Bowling, Fairhill

BOWLING Club and Fairhill Bar grabbed the latest pieces of Ballymena, Harryville and District Darts League silverware as the five-a-side competitions were played on Friday night.

Multiple league champions Bowling Club were much too strong for BT/PO in the final of the Division One competition, winning 5-0, while Fairhill emered victorious in the second division tournament, where they beat Fountain Bar 5-1.

GALLHER DIVISION ONE

First round: Bowling (1) beat Bowling (2) 5-1, BT/PO Club beat Greenhills 5-2, Towers (1) beat Towers (2), Diamond Bar beat Social Club 5-3.

Semi Finals: BT/PO Club beat Towers Tavern 5-4; Bowling Club beat Diamond Bar 5-3.

Final – Bowling Club 5, BT/PO Club 0: Geoff Matthews bt John Stewart 1-0, Davy McFall beat Glenn Gilmour 1-0, Brian Elder beat Billy Gay 1-0, John Elder (14) beat Geoff McIlveen 1-0 & Geoff Wylie beat Gary Gilmour 1-0.

LOGAN'S REMOVALS DIVISION TWO

First round: Fairhill (1) beat Fairhill (2) 5-0 with George Foster and Ashley Rainey hitting 17 darts each, Ladysmith (1) beat Ladysmith (2) 5-4, Fountain Bar beat Horse & Jockey 5-3, & Buffs Club beat Central Arms 5-1.

Semi-finals: Fairhill beat Buffs Club 5-0; Fountain Bar beat Ladysmith 5-4.

Final – Farhill Bar 5, Fountain Bar 1: Neil Marshall bt Jordon Barr 1-0, Ashley Rainey beat Jack Russell 1-0, George Foster beat Alan Young 1-0, Ian Rainey beat Willie Russell 1-0, & Neil Marshall beat Willie Russell 1-0.

FIXTURES

Two more trophies will be decided this Friday evening, April 16.

The Pictorium Cup final – featuring Bowling Club, Diamond Bar, Clough Rangers and BT/PO Club – will be held in the Coach Bar.

Meanwhile, Fairhill Bar, Social Club, Towers Tavern and Buffs Club will battle it out for the Loyalist Cup in the Towers Tavern.

Organisers at both host venues are reminded about the raffle and that scoresheets must be handed in at the Fountain Bar by Saturday night.

* The Ladysmith Colts v Central Swifts Division Two match has been brought forward to this Friday, April 16.

* Thanks for all who turned up to support Beverley Rainey on Saturday in the Ladysmith, when a great day of darts was had by all.
