Hilden stay in the hot-seat

Hilden stayed top of Private Greens Senior Three following a 47 shots win away to Nortel from which they took all seven points.

With second-placed Shorts dropping a point to Malone Hilden now lead the table by 2.5 points.

Jonathan McMullan won by three shots and Steven Kirkwood got home by 12 shots.

But, there were big wins for Maurice and Robert Kirkwood to give Hilden an easy success.

Hilden B remained in the Private Greens Junior Two promotion hunt with a 14 shots win away to Cavehill B on Tuesday night.

Seven points away from home are a rarity and in a well contested game Hilden did well to come away with a maximum haul.

Drew Harron scored the biggest win, six shots, Robin Campbell won by four, Gary finlay had three shots to spare and Hugh Murray got home by a single shot.
