Ulster got off to a perfect start on Friday with an emphatic 5-0 win over Leinster and this was followed up on Saturday with a 9-3 demolition of Munster leaving Ulster in a very strong position going into Sunday’s matches.

Their first match on Sunday was against Munster and they came out comfortable 4-0 winners which meant that Leinster would have to beat them by five clear goals in the deciding match of the tournament.

Ulster started this match slowly and allowed Leinster to race into an early two goal lead which put Ulster under pressure and allowed Leinster to gain some momentum and belief that they could actually force a tournament win.

Ulster steadied themselves however, and got themselves back into the game and were drawing 3-3 before conceding a goal in the last seconds to leave them losing the match but still with plenty to spare in winning the tournament.
