Hockey: Crunch match for Dodsworth’s girls
NEWly-promoted Larne Ladies face a crunch league match on Saturday when they lock horns with Dromore Ladies.
Larne have made a blistering start to life in ONE 1918 Senior League 2, sitting in second place just one point behind the leaders Ballyclare.
James Dodsworth’s girls have lost only one league game in seven outings, winning five and drawing one. And this weekend they could open up a five-point gap with a win over their closest rivals, Dromore. A victory would set them up nicely for their next league match against their East Antrim neighbours, Carrick Ladies.
It promises to be an interesting season for the girls as they look to build upon last year’s memorable Senior League 3 and Intermediate Cup Double success.
