Hockey: Rainey girls shine at regional tournament

Ulster schools were divided into six areas Board teams, selection for these through trials, and Rainey Endowed School was well represented on North East North Team, six girls from area of Coleraine Grammar, Ballymena Academy, Dalriada, Cambridge House, Slemish College.

The North East North Team enjoyed a great tournament drawing 1-1 with the Southern Team but winning their other four matches to be outright winners. Congratulations to the team but in particular our six Rainey Girls.

Thanks to Mrs Henry, Ulster Schools Secretary for the smooth organisation of the tournament, and to Mrs Burns - Ulster Schools U16 selector.

The girls now have to wait and see who will be selected for Ulster U16 trials.
