It means bottom side Greenisland will go into 2016 still searching for their first league success of the season.

Carrick, who were on the receiving end of a 10-0 hammering at the hands of the Glade girls last time out, were left kicking their heels when their match at Owls was postponed.

In Senior Four, Jenna Maxwell-Oliphant’s strike secured a point for second-placed Parkview Ladies at South Antrim.

Just three minutes in, the Lisburn side went one up after a goalmouth scramble, with stand-in goalkeeper Kathy Morrison beaten from close range.

The equaliser came on the hour from a Zoe Montgomery long corner with Maxwell-Oliphant applying the finishing touch.

Chloe McGookin almost snatched the winner, but her finishing effort ended in the side-netting.

Parkview’s Tammy Gamble said: “We started sluggishly and then didn’t play very well for the remainder of the first half. During the break our coach, Becky Linford, emphasised picking up opponents more quickly, and better communication, and it paid dividends. In the end we were perhaps just a little unlucky not to pick up all three points even with several regulars missing.

“After the game Becky picked out two of our schoolgirls, Natalie Cahoon and Zoe Montgomery, for special mention.”
