South always had a bit too much in reserve against the visitors from Donegal and the score could have been more emphatic if the home team had taken all of their chances.

Once again the midfield dominated for South and there were plenty of opportunities created for the front three. In early exchanges, Neil Wilson should have converted a cross at the back post, but failed to make contact.

Wilson soon made amends however when he crashed home a penalty corner to leave the Raphoe keeper with no chance. The second half saw the home side again dominate possession with Jack Redpath orchestrating things in the midfield along with Tim Crean and the impressive James Brown.

A second goal was on the cards and it arrived after great work from Craig Campbell allowed Darren Hutchinson to add another to his tally for the season by latching on to a rebound and flicking high into the net.

This was the vital goal for South and it seemed to kill off any resistance left in the visiting side. South were on the hunt for more and John Semple who is having a fantastic season so far finished clinically at the back post following a well-worked penalty corner set up by Neil Wilson.

South are in form but are entering a critical few weeks with some tough matches to come including a trip to Dublin to play Three Rock Rovers in the Irish Junior Cup.
