Honeymoon ends with a SportsBond win!

JUST before his recent marriage, agent Davy Creighton had a member miss out on a jackpot win.

Back from honeymoon, Davy was back with a 50 major win. His winning member was Carol Leslie (B0322).

However, the agent of the week was Patricia Thompson, who had a treble winning week with a winner in each section.

Nan Hutchinson (A7716) was the 50 major winner, Michael Church (C7350) was the 10 minor winner and Rory Gallaher (B7716) was the 15 consolation winner.

The other major winners this week were in Harryville and Broughshane. Hugh Hillis in Harryville had a 50 winner with Bryan Donnelly (A9679) and in Broughshane, Boyd Douglas had a 50 winner with Davy Falls (A1327).

A double success for the Diamond Bar this week with Harris Kernohan (A4745) and Rosemary Gamble (A5794) both winning 10. The other minor winner was H Hinds (A8137) of Kens News.

The other consolation winner this week belonged to agent, Geoff Cooke, and that was Trevor McCullough (B9679).

No jackpot was allocated with numbers 1, 7, 10 and 23.

Programme Editor, Bill Wray, was the winner of our first Ballymena First Score of the season away to Linfield. Bill had the correct winning scratchcard of a no score and so wins 30.

Hard luck to Bobby McLaughlin, his travelling partner, who had 90 mins!

The Community Shield no score winning time was 41 minutes. The winners were Cecil Caldwell in the Michelin Club, and Liz Davidson in the Thatch Inn. The winning tickets were sold by Alan Armstrong and Boyd Douglas.

AGENT NEWS

Sports Bond Promoter, Brian Thompson, extended sympathy on the loss of close friend, Austin Hutchinson, who passed away after a noble fight against illness.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery is extended to Sports Bond members Lynn Montgomery and David Houston. Both have spent time in hospital in recent weeks.

During the close season, a familiar face at The Showgrounds became our latest agent.

Karen Torrington is well known at The Showgrounds and could easily claim the title of being our No. 1 female supporter as she follows the team home and away. Karen became an agent a few weeks back and we are delighted to have such a committed individual with us.
