Hoping for more success

THE St. Peter’s club, who recently celebrated promotion to the first division, will be hoping for more success when their under 21 team play Silverbridge in the Intermediate Championship Final this weekend.

The young Whites team, who pulled away from a strong Mullaghbawn side last Sunday following a period of extra time, have an outstanding chance of winning Sunday’s decider, which can make up for some reversals during previous Minor all County campaigns.

The St.Peter’s team, who were beaten in this seasons Intermediate Final against Killeavey, contained several under 21 players on the day. The Whites’ Minor player of the year Declan Kilroy, Conal McAlinden and the outstanding Tony Flynn were the goal scorers in their semi-final 3-15 to 2-09 win over the ‘bridge.
