Paula who is a native of Belfast and James who was brought up in Ballymena now live in Ballinderry. They’re both members of Fit N Running Ballymena having joined the local club in October 2011 in order to prepare for their marathon effort.

They’re preparation for the event has been comprehensive and their commitment impressive as in addition to their home sessions they make the round trip from Ballinderry to Ballymena three times a week to train with their club mates under the guidance of coach Gregory Walsh.

The UCF has supported thousands of local people in dealing with cancer. The reality is that 1 in 3 of us will have to deal with the diagnosis of cancer at some stage in our lives and the UCF is there to help.

UCF is a local charity and they receive no government funding and rely on the support of people like you for help.
