The second seminar will teach the practical applications of any style kata. The seminar title is Practical Bunkai Seminar from Karate Kata. Many people view kata as a solo floor exercise with no practical meaning. Iain Abernethy, 5th Dan BCA, will teach how the movements contained in kata are actually devastating fighting applications for every day self-protection. In old Okinawa the Masters memorised their fighting techniques into their kata. In some styles of karate one kata alone held the entire styles complete fighting arsenal. Kata is not only about winning medals or for doing a floor routine.

Some places are still available on both seminars although the numbers limit will soon be attained. Anyone wishing to be considered for attendance contact Dan Redmond on either 07976987696 or via email: [email protected].
