Despite a strong hustle in the third, a short benched Belfast Giants fell 3-2 to the Coventry Blaze last at the Coventry Skydome.

As the first game of two for the Challenge Cup quarter finals, the Belfast Giants will host Coventry Blaze for a possible comeback in the series on Wednesday 12 January, 2022.
